What is included in parties?

Our parties include two staff to host the cooking class and provide all prep, instruction, table set up and service and clean up. Pinkie's Up provides all ingredients, prepared goods, tiered dessert stands, plates, teacups, teapots, floral decor, cutlery, and a beautiful tea setup.

What age groups are suitable?

Our cooking class children's high tea parties are designed for age 8+. Adult high tea celebrations events are suitable for all ages!

How long do parties last?

Cooking Class Parties last two hours. They are hosted from 11am-1pm Sundays. However staff will be on site at 10am to prepare and 30-60 minutes after for clean up.

High Tea Only parties last two hours. They are hosted from 12pm-2pm Monday to Friday, or 2-4pm Saturdays or 11am-1pm Sundays. Staff will be on site for 60 minutes before to prepare and 30-60 minutes after for clean up.

What do the children learn in the cooking class themed high tea?

In the cooking class option, children will learn etiquette, the history of high tea, how to set up for a delightful high tea experience, and how to make the fluffiest most delicious scones! The first portion of the party is a baking class. Once prepared, the table is set and guests will remove their aprons, don their tiaras, and enjoy a high tea fit for royals!

Are Pinkie's Up transportation costs included in the fee?

Transportation is included up to 20km from Central Burnaby. After that, there is a charge of $3/km.. (Use address 3713 Kensington Ave, Burnaby, BC V5B 0A7 for reference)

What is a Mobile Party?

We bring the celebration to your home, strata amenity room or office offering a beautiful high tea celebration! For the cooking class option, all we require is a kitchen... Some items will be baked so a working oven is necessary, as well as ample cleared counter space. A table with seating is great, but we can work with your space so that everyone is comfortable. For kids parties we can also do picnic style and seat on the floor.

Pinkie's Up will provide everything else—tiered platters, all the dishes, teacups, ingredients, and high tea decorations. We also have optional seating and tables for an additional fee, just ask!

What happens if we need to cancel?

Canceled events with more than 7 days notice will receive a full refund, less a $75 cancelation fee. Canceled events within one week notice will receive a full refund less a $200 cancelation fee.
